All members of the Retired Teachers’ Association are invited to an Informal Get-Together and 4-course Complimentary Lunch which will take place at 12.30pm for 1.00pm sharp on Thursday, 26 May 2022 in the Adair Suite of the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown.
The menu for the 4-course complimentary lunch comprises: Soup & freshly-baked roll; Chicken Charlotte (pan-fried fillet of chicken on champ in a cream sauce from Moneymore leeks, bacon, mushrooms and cider sauce); Pavlova followed by Tea/Coffee & Biscuits.
After lunch, Bryan Gallagher will provide us with some light-hearted entertainment on the theme “The Way We Were”. 
Bryan is a retired headmaster from Fermanagh, having been Principal of St. Mary’s P.S. Belnaleck, St. Aidan’s High School, Derrylin and St. Joseph’s College, Enniskillen. Reared in the village of Derrylin, he now lives with his wife Maeve in Enniskillen and they have five children, Declan, Garvan, Ciara, Bryan Og and Riana. Bryan is a regular contributor to ‘Thought For The Day’ on Radio Ulster and to ‘Sunday Miscellany’ on RTE as well as a regular columnist on Radio 4 ‘Home Truths’. Books he has written include ‘There’ll not be a Crowd Till The Crowd Gathers’, a memoir of the Starlight Dance Band, ‘Derrylin, the Place and the People’ and ‘Barefoot in Mullyneeny’. He is a former President and present member of Enniskillen Probus Club and of Fermanagh Choral Society and has now become an increasingly popular raconteur. 
Please feel free to bring a spouse/partner/friend/driver. The meal will be plated and served to you at your table. 
A formal invitation will be in the post at the beginning of April to be returned to Hon. Secretary, RTANI, no later than Friday, 20 May.

The 80th Annual Conference of the Retired Teachers' Association Northern Ireland will take place at 11.00am on Wednesday, 12 October 2022 in the Glenavon House Hotel, Cookstown.
As usual and following a very brief Annual General Meeting, we will introduce our guest speaker. Other fraternal guests include the President of UTU, the Chair of the Northern Committee INTO, Sandra E. Douglas NEU and representatives from NASUWT as well as representatives from our sponsors, Cornmarket Insurance for Teachers and Platinum Financial Planning Ltd. and there will be the welcome opportunity to view photographs of the event in the November issue of the Ulster Tatler. Not forgetting our generously subsidised lunch. Further details will be posted later.
